Under the critical eye of our Head Butcher Tom Wood, the butchery department never fails to bring you fresh ideas to inspire you what to make for dinner. Tom comes from a farming family and he takes a keen passion in meat produce from the field through to the butchery counter. Tom started his career in the wholesale butchery business belonging to his father, he attends various agricultural shows where he assists in showing the family pedigree herd.
Tom supports local farmers in his purchasing and always buys british produce. Our beef arrives in sides of beef and is 28day dry age matured on site.
A visit to our butchery is a must to see the tomahawk steaks, the flat irons, tender lamb racks and a wide selection of game when in season. The butchery team prepare sausages to Tom’s recipies and all are hand prepared on site with totally fresh ingredients. No additives.

Tom is a part of the British Butchery team for the second year running and has competed in Australia last year and this year sees them travel to Australia to attempt to win the world butchery challenge.
