Foodhall
The building of the food hall is now underway, and this will see quite a few changes at Huntley’s and complete another part of its expansion programme.
The food hall (pictured) will come complete with a jam making factory, and bakery, alongside plenty of food from around the county. Food miles will be a massive consideration and if a product cannot be found within the region it will be sourced as close to as possible.
The butchers and deli counter will be moved out of the main Huntley’s shop as it stands at the moment, making way for a bar and comfy seating area. A much larger butchery and deli will then be available in the main food hall.
Huntley’s is also extremely pleased to announce that the first floor of the barn (pictured) will be occupied by Cosgrove’s clothing (www.cosgrovesfashion.com). An already established name in Whalley and Rimington, Huntley’s is extremely pleased to be welcoming on board such a quality product and look forward to the new and exciting range that will be available at Huntley’s.
Our baker, Mark Hanson, comes from an award winning family bakery in Lincolnshire, winning many prizes for bread, including Britain's Best Loaf competition.
The aim of our bakery is to produce good quality bread without the use of chemical additives found in most modern bread. This can be achieved by using 60 year old recipes, which rely on a long fermentation process to give the bread its flavour and keeping qualities.
